Quentin Tarantino Films in Stunning 4K Blu-ray
Read on for more details about the 4K Blu-ray releases of the Kill Bill films and Jackie Brown. Below you’ll find a list of Tarantino’s complete body of work, noting which films have yet to receive the 4K treatment.
$25.43 (Original Price: $43)
Jackie Brown, released in 1997, followed Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction as Tarantino’s third directorial work. To date, it’s his only film based on a novel, Elmore Leonard’s “Rum Punch.”
The 4K Blu-ray boasts a ten-part documentary, fresh featurettes, deleted scenes, alternate takes, promotional materials, a poster gallery, and trivia.
Pam Grier stars as Jackie Brown, a flight attendant smuggling cash for a gun runner. Alongside Grier, the movie features Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Keaton, Robert De Niro, Robert Foster, and Bridget Fonda. Jackie Brown, much like Tarantino’s previous efforts, received positive reviews from critics.
$25.49 (Original Price: $43) | Limited-Time Offer
Six years after “Jackie Brown”, Tarantino released Kill Bill, a revenge-fueled spectacle starring Uma Thurman. The movie encapsulates the director’s iconic style, featuring vibrant characters, over-the-top action, and a killer soundtrack. Technically, the film showcased Tarantino’s growth as a director, highlighted by groundbreaking action sequences.
The 4K edition contains a “Making of Kill Bill Vol. 1” documentary, performances by The 5.6.7.8’s, and various trailers, including the renowned “bootleg” teaser.
$22.49 (Original Price: $43) | Time-Sensitive Discount
The follow-up, Kill Bill Vol. 2, came out in 2004. It is the only true sequel in Tarantino’s catalogue. Similar to the first installment, this 4K release includes a “Making of Kill Bill Vol. 2” documentary, the deleted scene “Damoe”, and a performance by Chingon.
While both films are inspired by low-budget cinema, the second Kill Bill scales back the action compared to the first, resulting in distinct and impactful violent scenes that emerge after longer stretches of narrative.
