The new Nintendo Switch 2 is currently offered through Amazon’s invitation system. You can find the Switch 2 Mario Kart Bundle, priced at $500, and the standalone console, available for $450, listed on the site. These listings initially appeared during Prime Day, marking Nintendo’s return to selling first-party products on Amazon after more than a year. Amazon indicates the Switch 2 is a “high-demand item with limited quantities,” but based on observed sales data and online activity, this “limited quantities” claim should be taken with a grain of salt. Amazon reports having sold over 20,000 Mario Kart World Bundles in approximately two weeks.
While awaiting a potential invitation, browse Amazon’s growing selection of Switch 2 games, accessories, and Amiibo figures. Below is a compilation of first-party Switch 2 items recently added to Amazon’s storefront. The official Nintendo store page has been updated to showcase Switch 2 games and first-party accessories.

In recent weeks, Amazon has listed all official Switch 2 accessories manufactured by Nintendo, including the new Pro Controller, Joy-Con 2 Controller 2-Packs and individual units, and racing wheels for Mario Kart World. Note that official carrying cases are currently sold out across major retailers, including Amazon. The list also includes officially licensed third-party accessories like Samsung’s 256GB microSD Express Card and Hori’s Piranha Plant Camera, which receives mixed reviews.
As of July 20th, some accessories, including the Switch 2 Pro Controller, are out of stock on Amazon. However, the Switch 2 Pro Controller is available for $84 at Walmart. Note that both Amazon and Walmart are listing some accessories and games at prices slightly below the suggested retail price.
All eight of the new Nintendo Switch 2 Amiibo figures are available on Amazon, including the Donkey Kong and Pauline Amiibo, and the four Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom figures. While some of the Zelda Amiibo appeared on Amazon a few weeks ago, Yunobo and Tulin were listed later.
Amazon also lists the latest and upcoming Switch 2 titles. This includes the recently released Donkey Kong Bananza and launch title Mario Kart World, along with highly anticipated titles like Pokemon Legends: Z-A and Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV, due out later this week.
Neither Amazon nor Nintendo has released a statement regarding the reasons for the removal of first-party Nintendo products from the online retailer’s listings. Amazon ceased sales of Nintendo Switch games in early 2024, and subsequently removed other popular Nintendo products, official accessories, and even Switch Online subscriptions. Walmart underwent a similar situation around the same time, but later resolved the matter with Nintendo before the holiday season.
As previously mentioned, Amazon provides a wide and growing range of third-party Switch 2 accessories. With official carrying cases and the Pro Controller currently unavailable, consider exploring 8BitDo controllers and RDS Industries carrying cases. 8BitDo’s Ultimate 2 Bluetooth Controller, typically priced at $70 (though occasionally available for $63), offers greater customization options than the official Pro Controller. RDS Game Traveler Deluxe carrying cases and bags are officially licensed by Nintendo and are sold at roughly half the cost of official Nintendo cases. The Game Traveler Deluxe Large Carrying Case is similar to Nintendo’s $85 All-in-One model but retails for just $40 and has recently been restocked on Amazon. RDS Industries also offers a well-designed hardshell carrying case for Switch Pro Controllers currently available for $20 on Amazon.
