FromSoftware has released a fresh update for Elden Ring Nightreign. This new patch arrived after a brief server maintenance period, which took the game offline for about an hour across all gaming platforms. This latest update is small in size, focusing primarily on resolving specific in-game issues.

Patch 1.01.5 is now live, coming exactly two weeks after the previous release, version 1.01.4. As indicated by the incremental version numbers, the cooperative action RPG from FromSoftware has recently seen a series of minor updates.

The patch notes for version 1.01.5 are quite concise, featuring only two fixes. Both address problems related to combat encounters with the challenging Everdark Sovereign bosses. These Everdark Sovereigns are enhanced, tougher variants of some of the existing Nightlord bosses, accessible only to players who have triumphed over the original boss forms.

According to the official announcement, this update specifically resolves a bug that caused the Everdark Sovereign Sentient Pest to become stuck during the battle, preventing players from defeating it and completing the encounter. Such a glitch could understandably lead to considerable frustration.

The Everdark Sovereign Sentient Pest appears to have been the source of more than one issue, as the patch also fixes a problem that occasionally caused it to appear outside of its designated battle arena, which would present a rather unusual and problematic situation for all involved.

That concludes the details for patch 1.01.5, but the saga of the Everdark Sovereigns is far from over. To date, we have also encountered the Everdark Sovereign Gaping Jaw, and the Everdark Sovereign Darkdrift Knight, in addition to the aforementioned Sentient Pest.

The availability of the Everdark Sovereign bosses rotates weekly, with two being available at a time. Currently, Gaping Jaw and Darkdrift Knight are featured. They will be replaced by Sentient Pest and Darkdrift Knight from July 17th to 24th, before Gaping Jaw and Sentient Pest take over from July 24th to 31st.

FromSoftware has confirmed ongoing development for Everdark Sovereign versions of Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast, and Fissure in the Fog. These enhanced bosses will be added to the game’s roster in the future.
