The highly anticipated patch for Elden Ring: Nightreign is now live! After experiencing a brief delay due to a tsunami advisory in Japan, FromSoftware has officially deployed version 1.02 across all platforms.

The update followed a period of server maintenance lasting roughly an hour, during which the game servers were temporarily unavailable.

As previously detailed, version 1.02 introduces official support for Duo Expeditions, essentially enabling two-player cooperative gameplay. While Nightreign was initially designed with a three-player experience in mind, FromSoftware implemented modifications to cater to solo players post-launch.

Responding to player feedback requesting duo support, the development team has worked to integrate this feature. Players can now initiate Expeditions with a partner, and the game’s difficulty will adapt dynamically to the party size. The Nightreign user interface has also been updated for clarity. The “Expedition Type” selector has been replaced with “Number of Players.”

A further major enhancement involves the Relic Effect filter screen, which now includes a variety of new options for improved control over the Relics in your inventory. You can now filter for Relics possessing multiple effects tied to a single condition.

The maximum number of storable Relic presets has also been increased to 100. Furthermore, for easier Relic management, the game now allows players to sell and favorite them directly from the Rewards screen.

Among the numerous quality-of-life improvements introduced in version 1.02 is the ability to immediately view the presets of your currently selected character. These are now displayed first when opening the “All Presets” list.

The Small Jar Bazaar and Collector Signboard now feature tabs for easier navigation! Even vendors in the Limveld region now include detailed descriptions for items within their shop menus. Players who have reached the Night Aspect boss encounter will be pleased to learn that the cutscene following the defeat of the Nightlord can now be skipped.

Lastly, the update marks the beginning of the second Everdark Sovereign cycle, starting with the Everdark Sovereign version of Augur, which is now available.
