Oops! It seems the release date for action RPG sequel, Nioh 3, has potentially slipped out ahead of schedule. Listings briefly appeared on Amazon Japan, quickly vanishing, but not before details were potentially captured. This supposed premature reveal occurs before the anticipated PlayStation State of Play event slated for later today, September 24th. Additionally, the listings hinted at the contents of the deluxe Treasure Box Edition.

According to these now-removed listings, initially spotted by a Twitter user known as @renka_schedule and subsequently reported by Gematsu, Nioh 3 is aiming for a February 6, 2026 launch on PC via Steam. Crucially, the PS5 version was also listed with the same release date. This means PC gamers won’t have to wait an extra period after the console launch, which would be fantastic news.

The Treasure Box edition, if the listings are accurate, will include several physical goodies. Expect to find an art book showcasing the game’s development, the official soundtrack, a themed desk mat, and a keychain featuring a Sunekosuri hairball. For those unfamiliar, Sunekosuri are described as “small, mischievous spirits from Okayama Prefecture” in Japanese folklore, often resembling dogs or cats.

According to the Yokai.com database (Yokai.com), “Sunekosuri are known to approach people walking on dark and rainy nights.” They playfully rub against shins, weave around legs, and nudge knees, making walking difficult. While they aren’t intentionally harmful, their actions can sometimes cause a person to stumble. Maybe your feline friend is actually a Sunekosuri in disguise!

But back to the game! The leak also appears to have revealed the game’s official box art. Check it out via the Twitter link above for a peek at the physical release’s packaging. Assuming the February 6th release holds true, players might have a week to complete Nioh 3 before the newly announced Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties becomes available, for those planning to jump into both on release. Or, you know, you could play them at your own pace!

Today’s PlayStation State of Play event is scheduled for 10PM BST/5PM ET/2PM PT. We’ll be covering any significant PC-related announcements that emerge from the showcase, while politely ignoring the console-exclusive content.
