Greetings, fellow gamers! My relentless efforts to manipulate Earth’s rotation and freeze time at precisely 11:30 AM last Saturday have once again failed. Alas, another week dawns. Fortunately, it brings with it a fresh batch of PC games, including both full releases and exciting early access titles. Perhaps a few of these new digital experiences are worthy of a slice of your precious time and hard-earned cash. Here’s a curated list of releases that have caught my eye:

Monday, September 22nd

Tuesday, September 23rd

  • Blippo+: Dive into the strange world of Planet Blip, surfing through channels to discover its unique soaps, sitcoms, news broadcasts, weather reports, and talk shows.
  • Baby Steps: Embrace the awkwardness as you learn to walk in this physics-based game, one hilariously clumsy ragdoll step at a time.
  • The creative minds at Blue Brain Games are back with
The House Of Tesla: Prepare for another intriguing point-and-click adventure.
  • It Has My Face, a horror game revolving around clone detection, has piqued my curiosity. Whether it will truly captivate me remains to be seen.

Wednesday, September 24th

  • Venture into 1960s Japan as a high school girl battling yokai scarecrows in
Silent Hill f, which some consider to be promising.
  • Experience the struggles of adolescence in
Consume Me (pictured), a life simulation game exploring feelings of inadequacy during high school, often leading to unfavorable outcomes.
  • Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds: While it may lack the school setting and teenage angst, this racing game incorporates portal mechanics for a unique twist.

Thursday, September 25th

  • Mala Petaka: Dive into this surprisingly cheerful and vibrant GZDoom shooter, featuring hanging crystals and hordes of robotic enemies.
  • For fans of Aquaplus,
AQUAPAZZA: Aquaplus Dream Match is a visually striking cross-over anime 2D fighting game that seems exciting. It has been a while since we’ve highlighted a fighting game!
  • In
Buggos 2, unleash your inner Zerg strategist by drowning human scientists in the ichor of your mass-produced minions. This RTS autobattler is perfect for those who appreciate a good swarm.
  • Prepare for another round of uncanny virtual soccer in
    EA Sports FC 26.

Friday, September 26th

  • Stario Haven Tower: Build the tallest city imaginable, managing challenging weather conditions and complex vertical logistics.
  • Hotel Barcelona: Developed by a team led by Swery and Suda51, this side-scrolling roguelike slasher follows a US field marshal possessed by the soul of a serial killer.
  • Lost In the Open: Embark on a gritty fantasy tactics RPG where a recently deposed king and his followers flee across a hex-based map.

In addition to these new PC games, this week will also feature some unreleased titles. We’ll be hearing about them at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, running from September 25th to 28th. As I type this, I’m staring at a spreadsheet full of embargoed announcements. The temptation to simply copy and paste the entire thing below and take the week off is strong, but I’m a professional and I will resist! Besides, I’m sure none of you care about
something completely irrelevant!
