Great news for RPG fans! For the first time since its debut on June 19th, the highly anticipated “Raidou Remastered” is now available at a discounted price on consoles. Head over to Amazon, where you can find the physical editions for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5 at a reduced price of just $40 (originally $50). This is a fantastic opportunity to add this gem to your collection. GameStop is also offering similar deals, including the Xbox Series X version, at the same price point. However, keep in mind that GameStop requires a minimum purchase of $79 for free shipping.

For PC gamers, Fanatical has a special offer. You can get a Steam key for the standard edition at a discounted price, saving you six bucks. If you’re looking for the complete experience, the Digital Deluxe Edition is also on sale for $57.19 (down from $65).

Important Note for Switch 2 Owners: The physical release of “Raidou Remastered” for the Switch 2 utilizes a Game-Key Card. Upon inserting the cartridge for the first time, a digital download from the eShop will commence. The game’s file size is approximately 12.7GB.

It’s worth mentioning that a significant portion of third-party Switch 2 games opt for the contentious Game-Key Cards, including the highly anticipated Switch 2 port of Persona 3 Reload.

Given that players are effectively purchasing digital copies disguised as physical cartridges, standard Switch 2 users may find themselves needing more storage space than anticipated. Fortunately, you can expand your Switch 2’s storage capacity with a microSD Express Card. The officially licensed 256GB Samsung card is an excellent choice, but you can potentially save money or acquire even more storage by opting for Walmart’s Onn brand.

While “Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army” omits the Shin Megami Tensei and Devil Summoner identifiers from its title, its narrative remains intertwined with the overarching series. Players step into the role of Raidou Kuzonoha – a character familiar to fans from appearances in other MegaTen titles like Shin Megami Tensei III and Soul Hackers. Raidou is an apprentice occult investigator and Devil Summoner who collaborates with demons to unravel mysteries in 1930s Tokyo and the enigmatic Dark Realm.

In contrast to other MegaTen games, “Raidou Remastered” adopts an action-RPG format, featuring real-time combat where players execute combo attacks as Raidou and harness the abilities of over 120 demons that can be recruited. A notable aspect of this remaster is the incorporation of the combat system from the original game’s sequel, “Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon” – although the sequel itself is not included in this edition. Alongside the revamped combat mechanics, the remaster boasts enhanced visuals, fresh voice acting, a completely redesigned interface, expanded environments, and a host of quality-of-life improvements.
