I never would have imagined that my latest obsession, the hit Netflix show KPop Demon Hunters, could somehow be combined with one of my all-time favorite franchises, Star Wars. It seemed impossible that characters like Cal Kestis, Bode Akuna, and Merrin from the popular Jedi video game series could have anything in common with Rumi, Zoey, and Mira from HUNTR/X.
But, surprisingly, they share a common goal: to defeat their enemies with style and flair.

The video, set to the HUNTR/X track “How It’s Done,” showcases Jedi hero Cal Kestis teaming up with Bode Akuna and Nightsister Merrin to take down Imperial forces. Although they aren’t falling from a damaged aircraft, their combined combat prowess in this video is a spectacle to behold.
“Want some more? I think they want some more, Cal,” Bode quips, leading into a scene where Cal kicks a shoretrooper while Bode uses his jetpack to deliver a devastating punch. Merrin finishes the job with a flourish of her staff. The action is captivating, and there’s still a minute of video left to enjoy.
I’ve been a longtime follower of AnimatedJen’s channel, constantly impressed by the effort and passion the YouTuber invests in crafting their own narrative around Cal Kestis. (An alternative reality where Cal is an Inquisitor? Count me in!) The Jedi series has earned a dedicated fan base, and there’s considerable anticipation for these characters to eventually make their way into live-action adaptations.
It’s exciting to see the creativity within the Star Wars fandom, where fans take beloved material and transform it with their unique perspectives. Of course, it’s highly improbable that the “official” versions of Cal, Merrin, and, well, Bode (he knows what he did), would utilize K-Pop-inspired techniques to amplify their abilities and eliminate Stormtroopers. Yet, who can definitively say it *didn’t* happen? Exactly! Therefore, I propose renaming the team MANT/S. Could this make Cere Junda their manager? Someone should definitely write a fanfic about this and upload it to AO3, just for me! Furthermore, modders, could you possibly create these outfits? Please and thank you.
