Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 boasts updated visuals, refined gameplay, all-new levels alongside the classics, an expanded roster of playable skaters, and a killer new soundtrack. Just as in the remakes of the first two games, the skateboarding feels remarkably good. The core gameplay experience is a blast – the soundtrack definitely helps set the mood – and the newly designed levels are top-notch.
One thing missing, however, is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4’s original career mode, which many fans loved. The team at Iron Galaxy Studios opted to replace the free-roaming structure with the traditional two-minute runs from the first three titles. While this updated version of THPS 4 is enjoyable, it’s undeniably different from what long-time fans might remember.

Important for Nintendo gamers: The Switch version includes a physical game card, but still requires a download. The Switch 2 release will provide a download code instead of a cartridge. Activision has confirmed there’s no upgrade path offered from Switch to Switch 2.

The limited-edition, full-size Birdhouse skate deck is exclusive to the Collector’s Edition. As Tony Hawk’s very own skateboard brand, Birdhouse makes this a fantastic collectible for dedicated fans.
The Collector’s Edition also gives you all the in-game downloadable content from the Digital Deluxe Edition ($70 value). Notably, it unlocks two playable skaters from the Doom franchise: Doom Slayer and Revenant. Each character possesses unique and secret moves. In addition to these characters, the Collector’s Edition also includes Doom-themed gear for Create-a-Skater. Here’s a complete list of all the in-game extras:
