In Silent Hill f, players can discover hidden Inari-sama Doors and Boxes. These act as valuable collectibles, unlocking rewards like character enhancements, story-related documents, and even Omamori charms that provide combat advantages for Hinako.
A total of eleven Inari-sama items exist – seven boxes and four doors. One is secreted away within each chapter of the game. Locating them all unlocks the “Inari-sama’s Secrets” achievement.
This guide will show you where to find all the Inari-sama Doors and Boxes in Silent Hill f. Use the images to pinpoint the exact locations.
Important: Inari-sama Doors and Boxes can only be accessed in New Game Plus mode.
Inari-sama Box #1 (First Visit to Ebisugaoka)
During your initial exploration of Ebisugaoka, while completing the objective “Return to Chizuruya General Store while avoiding the monsters,” you will come across a Hokora Shrine. From the shrine, descend the nearby steps, and turn right. The first Inari-sama box will be in front of you.
Inside, you’ll find a “Diary of Revenge” note, which reveals key elements of the game’s background story, as well as an Ema, which provides a character upgrade.
Inari-sama Box #2 (Shrine Path)
Once you reach the Shrine Path in the Dark Shrine, and your objective is to solve the Shrine vault puzzle (flipping the wooden planks), locate the southern section of the area map. Beside a large tree, you’ll discover the second Inari-sama box.
Opening this box provides the “A Perspective on Hierogamy” note. It also rewards you with the Shrew Mole Omamori, an item that eliminates stamina consumption when dodging while near death.
Inari-sama Box #3 (Second Visit to Ebisugaoka)
During your return to Ebisugaoka, the third Inari-sama box is located just before you enter the cornfield, close to a Hokora Shrine. This area becomes accessible when your objective is to “Head to Rinko’s house.”
Inside this box, you’ll get another “Diary of Revenge” note, plus an Ema. You can use this character upgrade to enhance your health, stamina, insanity resistance, or your Omamori capacity.
Inari-sama Door #1 (Corridors)
The first Inari-sama door is in the Corridors of the Dark Shrine – your second visit to the “Otherworld.” Proceed to the southwestern part of the map. You’ll find a door that was previously locked during your initial playthrough.
Opening it reveals an Ema character upgrade, along with several notes that expand upon the lore of Silent Hill f.
Inari-sama Box #4 (Third Visit to Ebisugaoka)
After reaching the middle school during your third visit to Ebisugaoka, you must go through the window to reach the external area. Loop around to find another accessible window, which allows re-entry to the school. This classroom can only be entered from the outside.
At the back-right corner of the classroom is the fourth Inari-sama box. It holds another “Diary of Revenge” note and the Rabbit Omamori.
The Rabbit Omamori offers the effect: “Press Heavy Attack immediately after performing a Perfect Dodge to deal a powerful counter. This Counter greatly consumes Stamina.”
Inari-sama Door #2 (Worship Hall)
Once in the Worship Hall within the Dark Shrine, you can discover the second Inari-sama door in the western section. This is where you focus on Rinko’s story (the east side focuses on Sakuko). Head south, where you will see a door shrouded in darkness.
This Inari-sama door holds journal logs that deepen the game’s story. A must-find for players invested in the narrative.
Inari-sama Box #5 (Fourth Visit to Ebisugaoka)
As you explore Ebisugaoka for the fourth time in Silent Hill f, you’re tasked with finding a path to Shu’s house. On your journey to the objective marker, you will find a gazebo. On the left side of it, you’ll find the fifth Inari-sama box.
Opening it grants a “Diary of Revenge” entry and an Ema character upgrade.
Inari-sama Door #3 (Main Hall)
Within the Main Hall section of the Dark Shrine, players can locate the third Inari-sama door on the second floor. Proceed upwards from the location where you completed the second part of the ritual during your initial playthrough. You’ll find a room with damaged floorboards.
In the corner of this room, you will see a wall bearing a symbol. Activate your focus ability to open it. Beyond this wall, you will find the third Inari-sama door, which leads to the Crimson Water area, where you can find the Agura No Hotei-sama.
Inari-sama Box #6 (Fifth Visit to Ebisugaoka)
Inari-sama Box #6 is located during your fifth journey through Ebisugaoka. After passing through the playground and witnessing the brief flashback scene, turn right into the small front yard of a house. The Inari-sama box is near a rock.
Expect to find another “Diary of Revenge” entry and another Ema to enhance Hinako’s combat prowess.
Inari-sama Box #7 (Shimizu Residence I)
Reaching the Shimizu Residence allows players to find the seventh Inari-sama box on the western side of the Shimizu Residence I map. Follow the image’s location, and you will find the Inari-sama box placed atop a stack of boxes.
Opening Inari-sama Box #7 provides another fragment of the “Diary of Revenge” and another Ema.
Inari-sama Door #4 (Treasure Hall)
The last Inari-sama door awaits in the Treasure Hall section of the Dark Shrine. When your task is to acquire the third crest, stand facing the mural in the central room, then turn right and proceed through the door to reach the room with the wolf statues. The Inari-sama door is in the fox statue room on the east side.
Due to the area being designated an “Unknown Area,” no map image is supplied by the game.
Like its counterparts, this final Inari-sama door leads to an area containing various journal entries and interactive objects, providing a further glimpse into the world of Silent Hill f.
