The recent Nintendo Direct presentation, lasting a full hour, unveiled a treasure trove of announcements for eager gamers. Among the highlights were surprising debuts such as Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, alongside confirmations for much-anticipated titles like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, now with firm release dates. Nintendo has scheduled six major game releases within a concentrated two-month period. This run begins with the Mario Galaxy collection on October 2nd and culminates with Metroid Prime 4 on December 4th. The timeframe also includes the arrival of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, and Kirby Air Riders. Beyond these first-party titles, a diverse selection of third-party games is also on the horizon, including the timed-exclusive Hades II, which is being published by Nintendo.

Adding to the excitement, Nintendo showcased seven brand-new Amiibo figures: Three dedicated to Metroid Prime 4, two inspired by Kirby Air Riders, and two based on Super Mario Galaxy. Furthermore, fans of Metroid and Mario can look forward to companion books releasing this fall: Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective and Rosalina’s Storybook.
We’ve compiled a comprehensive list of all the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 (and original Switch) games and accessories that were presented during the Nintendo Direct, all of which are available for preorder on Amazon. This list also contains first-party Nintendo-published games and accessories designed for the Switch 2 that can be purchased right now. If you are looking to get Nintendo’s new device, Amazon began taking preorders for the Switch 2 Pokemon Legends: Z-A Bundle on September 12th. For the first time, you can simply buy the console from Amazon without an extra step. To order the Mario Kart World Bundle and the standalone console from Amazon, you’ll need to request an invitation.
The $80 price tag of Mario Kart World made many Nintendo fans think that was going to be the standard price for the Switch 2’s exclusive titles. Turns out, that’s not true–at least for now. Metroid Prime 4, Hyrule Warriors, Kirby Air Riders, along with the other Nintendo Switch 2 titles belonging to Nintendo’s popular franchises are retailing at $70. The original Switch versions of Pokemon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will cost $60. The exception to this price point is Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2. The physical edition is an original Switch game that is priced at $70. But the collection also has a free upgrade pack for the Switch 2.
Important Note: Some of the games from the list shown below are not exclusive to the Switch 1/2–Dragon Quest VII Reimagined and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade–but they were still a part of September’s Nintendo Direct. And while Hades II is a console timed exclusive that’s being published by Nintendo, it will also be released on PC during its launch.

The collection of Metroid Prime 4 Amiibo will have differing release dates and prices. The larger Samus and Vi-O-La motorcycle figure will be $40 and it will be launched on November 6th, along with a new $30 Samus Aran Amiibo. On the same day as Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, the Sylux Amiibo version will also be released. The two Kirby Air Riders Amiibo are priced at $50 each, making them the most expensive Amiibo figures to date. This isn’t too surprising considering the Warp Star and Winged Star Machines shown above are separate figures, making these more akin to double packs. Super Mario Galaxy fanatics will have to be patient and wait until April of 2026 to add the new Mario and Rosalina Amiibo figures to their personal collections. Each of these figures is $40, but the character stands are much more elaborate than we typically see with Amiibo.

At the beginning of August, Nintendo increased the price of a few first-party accessories. Not all of the official Switch 2 accessories were changed, but the prices of the Pro Controller and Joy-Con 2 each increased by five dollars. Also included in the list below are some of the more popular officially licensed third-party accessories such as Samsung’s 256GB microSD Express Card and Hori’s Piranha Plant Camera, which has a cool design but isn’t very good technologically.
