Inflows into Bitcoin ETFs Bolster Crypto Market Rally

Recent inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs have provided essential support to the wider cryptocurrency market, marking six straight days of inflows and returning the 2026 figures to positive territory. Earlier in July, these ETFs had recorded a staggering $5.8 billion in net outflows for the year, but now, the year-to-date inflows amount to $800 million.

Approximately $4 billion of these inflows have occurred since the U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s announcement in August regarding increased bond purchases, which served as a liquidity enhancement strategy amid soaring bond yields reaching multi-year highs.

Despite this positive trend, the $800 million year-to-date net inflows are still significantly lower than the $35.2 billion recorded in 2024 and the $21.4 billion seen in 2025.

According to SoSoValue data, BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) recorded a net inflow of $162.63 million on Thursday. In contrast, WisdomTree’s Bitcoin Fund (BTCW) registered the highest outflow, amounting to $4.02 million.

Consistent Inflows for XRP and Solana ETFs

Interest in ETFs has also spread to XRP and Solana, with both asset-backed products experiencing fresh inflows. XRP ETFs drew in $14.89 million on Thursday, bringing the total net inflows to around $1.76 billion. Solana ETFs fared even better, with a net inflow of $32.81 million, adding up to total inflows of about $1.52 billion.

These consistent inflows follow recent market fluctuations surrounding the unsuccessful CLARITY Act and the Federal Reserve’s rate decision in September.

Bitcoin Approaches Critical Level Near $85,000

As Bitcoin remains below the $85,000 threshold, traders are closely monitoring whether the leading cryptocurrency can regain necessary levels to indicate a broader recovery.

ITC’s founder and CEO, Benjamin Cowen, stated in a post on X that the upcoming weekly Bitcoin close could influence trends for Q4. He emphasized that maintaining levels above the May peak will bolster the bullish argument, whereas slipping below could signify a failed breakout. Bitcoin had peaked around $82,800 in May.

Similarly, crypto analyst Ted Pillows indicated that Bitcoin must reclaim $85,300 to affirm a stronger upward trajectory, arguing that dips below this level could continue to attract liquidity-driven trading.

So far this year, Solana has outperformed Bitcoin, with Bitcoin’s price showing a nearly 5% decline year-to-date compared to Solana’s 3.5% drop. XRP, on the other hand, has experienced a more significant setback, down over 14% since January.
