Investor sentiment may have been boosted by Ripple’s presence at the recent XRPL Apex event in Singapore. CEO Brad Garlinghouse anticipates that XRPL has the potential to capture a considerable portion of SWIFT’s liquidity within five years, owing to the network’s speed and efficiency in cross-border transactions.

  • Purpose Investments has secured approval for an XRP ETF, which will be listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker XRPP.

The fund will be available in three versions: a Canadian dollar-hedged unit (XRPP), a Canadian dollar non-hedged unit (XRPP.B), and a U.S. dollar unit (XRPP.U). It is eligible for inclusion in registered investment accounts.

Vlad Tasevski, Purpose Chief Investment Officer, stated that the ETF reflects the company’s commitment to providing accessible and secure digital asset investment options. While Purpose already offers ETFs for other major cryptocurrencies, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has not yet approved an XRP ETF in the United States.

  • The Ripple vs. SEC appeal proceedings have been postponed until August.

Attorney James K. Filan reported that the SEC has requested the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit to suspend proceedings until August 15th. This request comes as both parties pursue an indicative ruling in the district court to resolve the case.

On June 12th, Ripple and the SEC jointly filed a motion to release $50 million of the $125 million fine currently held in escrow. If approved, this would amend the final judgment under Rule 60. The case’s resolution is considered urgent, as the outcome may influence the SEC’s stance on pending XRP ETF applications. Investors are closely monitoring Judge Analisa Torres’ decision, which is expected later this week.
