For XRP to return to its October opening price of $1.49, it must see an increase of 12% within the next nine days, currently sitting 64% lower than its peak of $3.65.
Daily inflows for spot XRP ETFs fell to zero on October 19 and 20, dropping from a substantial $22 million in late September.
Predictions suggest XRP will conclude October with prices ranging from $1.26 to $1.41, as moving averages at $1.39 and $1.41 limit any short-term gains.

XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) must achieve a 12% increase over the next nine days to achieve its October starting price of $1.49. Currently priced at $1.33, it has decreased by 2% over the last day, down 10.7% for the month and 13.8% for the past 30 days. XRP remains 63.5% below its all-time record of $3.65.
XRP reached a peak of $1.56 on October 2 but fell to a low of $1.255 on October 18. During the week of October 19, it fluctuated between $1.28 and $1.40.

Recent headlines from October 19 hinted at a potential target price of $15 for XRP. However, most investors are more concerned about how close XRP can get to its October opening price of $1.49 by the end of the month.
Closing at $1.49 Would Mark XRP’s Best Monthly Performance Since January

Should XRP conclude October at $1.49, it would wipe out the month’s losses and match September’s closing price, also representing its highest monthly close since January at $1.65.
Despite this, XRP has remained within a tight price range for most of 2026. Monthly closes have varied from a low of $1.04 in June to $1.49 in September, starting the year around $1.84 with a current depreciation of approximately 27.7%.
A year ago, XRP was trading significantly higher, closing October 2025 at $2.51 after a monthly high of $3.10. Thus, even with an October recovery, it would still be about 41% lower than last year’s closing figure due to the steep decline seen in 2026.
Spot XRP ETF Inflows Have Drastically Decreased

XRP spot ETFs directly hold XRP, and when new investments flow into these funds, purchases of XRP must occur. On October 21, these ETFs recorded approximately $708,500 in inflows, with total net assets reaching $1.57 billion. Since inception, net inflows have totaled $1.80 billion.
Nonetheless, there has been a notable decline in inflows for these ETFs, with no net inflows recorded on October 19 and 20, following a $2.5 million outflow on October 16. In late September, inflow activity was significantly stronger, with $20 million recorded on September 22 and $22.6 million on September 25.
The previous substantial inflow only provided XRP with a temporary uptick. On October 8, when the funds brought in $8.2 million, XRP closed at $1.38, briefly hitting $1.41 by October 11 before retreating to $1.34 the following day.
Bearish Pressure Keeps XRP Below Key Averages

A moving average indicates the average closing price over a defined period. When a cryptocurrency trades below its moving average, that average often acts as a resistance level where sellers may step in. The 20-day moving average for XRP is $1.39, about 4.4% above its current price, while the 50-day moving average is $1.41, approximately 6.3% higher.
On October 21, XRP briefly exceeded the 20-day average, reaching $1.40. However, sellers promptly drove the price back down, closing the day at $1.36.
Bitcoin Continues to Influence XRP Trends

Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) is currently valued at $81,794, showing a 2% decline within the last 24 hours, mirroring XRP’s trend. However, XRP has experienced a more pronounced drop in 2026. While Bitcoin is down just 3.8% this year, XRP has decreased by around 27.7%. If Bitcoin faces further selling pressure as the month wraps up, XRP might be affected even more severely.
What to Expect for XRP’s Price at October’s Conclusion?
Predictions suggest that XRP will likely end October with prices ranging between $1.255 and $1.41. The prospects of XRP reaching its October 31 opening price of $1.49 appear slim, primarily due to the decline in ETF demand and both moving averages place above its current price. Before regaining lost ground, XRP must first close above $1.39, followed by $1.41. Achieving a return to $1.49 may require ETF inflows to surpass $20 million daily.
These views come with risks. If ETF flows stagnate and Bitcoin continues to decline, XRP could retest its low of $1.28 from the week of October 19 and possibly drop to $1.255, 5.7% lower. A breach below this level could lead to revisiting September’s low of $1.246. If XRP closes above $1.41 by October 31, this would indicate we may have underestimated its potential. Conversely, a close under $1.255 would align with the lower end of our predicted range.
