Zcash Sees Increased Demand as ETF Hits All-Time High

Zcash has emerged as one of the strongest cryptocurrencies in 2026, experiencing a surge of approximately 95% since the year started, following a staggering 800% increase in 2025.

Grayscale’s Zcash ETF (ZCSH) has seen a 25% jump since it was introduced on the NYSE Arca platform on August 25.

On Friday, the fund reached a peak pre-market value of $80.17, underscoring the growing institutional interest in exposure to $ZEC.

Additionally, there is a rising fascination with Zcash’s privacy features. The total amount of shielded Zcash has hit 4.86 million $ZEC, representing 28.76% of the entire cryptocurrency supply.

Out of this, approximately 3.86 million tokens are managed within the Ironwood Pool, Zcash’s most secure shielded setting, which includes independent audits and quantum-recoverable note formats.

Moreover, advancements in hardware-wallet compatibility may further enhance Zcash’s privacy infrastructure.

Vizor Wallet recently demonstrated a shielded transaction that was directly signed on a Ledger hardware wallet, indicating that comprehensive Ledger support for private Zcash transactions might be on the horizon.

Zcash Nears Next Resistance Level at $1,058

The $ZEC/USD 4-hour chart displays a strong upward trend, with Zcash trading above $1,000 on Friday, marking its highest point in nine years.

This rally followed a breakout past the January 2018 peak of $900, reinforcing the cryptocurrency’s positive short-term outlook.

Despite this growth, $ZEC remains significantly below the nearly $30,000 value recorded shortly after its market debut.

This initial valuation was driven by heightened speculation and a notably limited token supply.

On the four-hour chart, $ZEC is nearing the 127.2% Fibonacci extension, which lies at $1,058, representing the movement from $465 to $888.

A solid close above this threshold could further propel the rally towards the 161.8% Fibonacci extension at $1,322.

Moreover, the positive outlook is supported by increasing exponential moving averages. The 50-period EMA is located around $845, while the 100-period and 200-period EMAs are respectively situated at approximately $780 and $689.

Additional momentum indicators also imply a favorable environment for buyers. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) remains above its signal line in positive territory, indicating sustained bullish momentum.

However, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is currently around 76, which suggests it is in overbought territory.

This position reflects strong buying momentum but raises concerns about a potential short-term retracement or consolidation.

If Zcash cannot surpass the $1,058 mark, the recently reclaimed $888 level could act as a primary support point.

Should it dip below that, sellers might target the 50-period EMA, situated around $845. The next significant support level is approximately $773, aligning with the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement.

As long as $ZEC remains above these support levels, its broader bullish trend is likely to persist. A confirmed move beyond $1,058 could strengthen the outlook for a climb towards $1,322.
