Bitcoin $BTC$79,627.45 is currently exceeding the performance of gold, the Nasdaq 100, the S&P 500, and other significant asset categories at a crucial time.
As reported by CoinDesk, the cryptocurrency’s value has jumped by 26% this month, with prices hovering around $79,200. In contrast, gold has only increased by 13.8%, while the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 have seen gains of 4.8% and 3.2%, respectively. Although hard assets struggled earlier this year, they have recently begun to rise more rapidly than stocks, which have already reached record highs after a robust performance in early 2026.
Furthermore, TradingView statistics reveal that $BTC now has a 30-day correlation of +0.81 with gold, signifying a strong likelihood that both will move in the same direction. Conversely, its correlation with the Dollar Index has reached -0.86, indicating a tendency to move against the U.S. dollar. Additionally, the relationship between $BTC and the Nasdaq has weakened.
This strong price performance, along with the positive correlation with gold and negative correlation with the DXY, highlights bitcoin’s growing reputation as a reliable store of value and a safeguard against financial and monetary mismanagement.
