Investor confidence has reached its highest level in nearly two years, largely fueled by a recent surge in Bitcoin’s value, according to a recent analysis.

On September 12, Darkfost, a contributor at CryptoQuant, shared on X that Bitcoin’s dramatic rise had resulted in the most robust investor enthusiasm observed in the past two years. A similar bullish sentiment was last noted in March 2024.

Recent data shows that Bitcoin’s Unified Sentiment Index has now gone beyond 89, indicating an entry into the “extreme greed” zone. This index compiles various measures including the Fear and Greed Index, illustrating market sentiment on a scale from minus 100 to 100. A higher score denotes stronger investor confidence.

The index experienced a rapid increase as Bitcoin surged from approximately $60,000 to nearly $80,000. It has now reached levels akin to those seen in March 2024, when Bitcoin exceeded $70,000.

Extreme levels of positivity or negativity in sentiment often indicate potential market shifts, Darkfost observed.

He further mentioned that investor sentiment is normalizing after a period of heated excitement, while Bitcoin is attempting to retain its current price plateau.
