Bitcoin Suisse is implementing a restructuring strategy aimed at relocating a significant segment of its workforce from Switzerland to international sites to enhance cost efficiency and broaden its business footprint.
As reported by Cointelegraph on September 11, Bitcoin Suisse intends to shift roles for around 60 of its 120 employees currently located in Switzerland to overseas offices, focusing mainly on back-end and administrative positions.
Proposed relocation destinations include Bratislava, Slovakia, and Vietnam, where the company plans to set up a new operational hub in the upcoming years and gradually transfer related tasks.
According to Chief Executive Officer Andrej Majcen, the primary motivator for this decision is to improve cost efficiency; functioning from Slovakia and Vietnam is expected to yield substantial savings.
Moreover, Bitcoin Suisse has emphasized that this transition is not a result of financial strain due to the cryptocurrency market; instead, it represents a strategic reorganization to enhance its global wealth-management services.
Established in Zug, Switzerland, in 2013, Bitcoin Suisse offers trading, custody, staking, and lending services. This year, the firm received licenses in Liechtenstein and Bermuda, and its subsidiary in the Middle East gained formal regulatory approval in Abu Dhabi in July.
