• BlackRock Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) experiences over $209 million in inflows, marking its first significant movement in weeks.

  • U.S.-based spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $265.7 million in net inflows, fueling a positive trend in the cryptocurrency market.

  • While Bitcoin’s price is poised for a potential surge, it faces resistance near $65,955.

The BlackRock Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) has ended a streak of low activity by recording its first inflow after a period of minimal or negative movement. With net inflows of $265.7 million into spot Bitcoin ETFs, the market is seeing renewed optimism. Could this lead to a Bitcoin price rally in the near future?

BlackRock Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) Records Over $209 Million in Inflows

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) noted inflows of $209.4 million, as reported by Farside Investors on July 7. This is the first notable positive movement after several weeks of minimal inflows.

Other ETFs such as Fidelity’s FBTC, Bitwise’s BITB, ARK 21Shares’ ARKB, and Grayscale Mini ETF each garnered inflows of $9.7 million, $4.8 million, $33 million, and $42.3 million respectively. Conversely, Grayscale’s GBTC reported outflows totaling $44.5 million.

This surge has boosted total U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF inflows to $265.7 million, representing the highest daily inflow seen in weeks. Spot Bitcoin ETFs have recorded positive inflows over two consecutive days, creating a favorable atmosphere in the crypto market.

Spot ETFs have recently ended a phase of varying to negative inflows during late June and early July, a time when IBIT experienced consistent outflows. Remarkably, BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF faced $40.4 million in outflows right before the recent net inflow last Friday.

Will BTC Price Rise Despite Challenges?

Currently, Bitcoin trades between the $63,000 and $64,000 range. The daily low and high reached $61,275 and $64,597 respectively. Additionally, trading volume has surged over 90% within the last 24 hours, signaling growing interest from traders.

Inflows in the BlackRock Bitcoin ETF are generally associated with price stability, particularly during periods of sell-offs. This could explain Bitcoin’s price increase, even in the face of Michael Saylor’s significant Bitcoin liquidation worth $216 million.

Robust institutional interest from the largest ETF, seasonal trends, and possible liquidity triggers could contribute to a Bitcoin price increase. IBIT stands out with cumulative inflows exceeding $60 billion.

Market analysis firm BIT (previously known as Matrixport) suggests that Bitcoin has commenced July with strong momentum, considering its traditionally favorable seasonal trends. “Positive statements made by President Trump, including comments that the U.S. is asserting control over cryptocurrency, have bolstered market sentiment,” stated BIT.
